6 Spiritual Bath Tea's to Cleanse Your Energy

Wondering what a Spiritual Bath Tea is? Let’s start at the beginning – ENERGY!

Before I moved to Bali I thought I understood energy, especially personal energy, but looking back I knew nothing compared to what I know now. Upon moving to Bali in 2019, I quickly discovered I am HSP (a highly sensitive person), I met so many other empaths and began learning more about spirituality, and with that, I finally began to understand how PRECIOUS my own energy is.

You see, as we go about our everyday lives, we are constantly coming into contact with so many different energies, from friends and family, to work colleagues, to even pets and plants. Everything is vibrating on a frequency. And unless you regularly check-in your own vibe, you could be picking up other lower frequencies and energies and allowing them to linger.

Empaths especially tend to pick up other peoples energies and start treating them as their own, often unaware they’re doing it.

As someone who is now obsessed with protecting my own energy (just ONE of the reasons I became an EFT Energy Practitioner), I love to use a spiritual bath as a way to keep my personal energy cleansed.

What is a Spiritual Bath?

We get a bath because we want to clean ourselves, right? We want to wash away the reminisce of a long day or a deep sleep and we want to feel refreshed.

Well, think of a Spiritual Bath as bath extended into a ritual. It’s not just about the body, but about the soul too. It’s a time for you to connect with yourself, to relax, whilst also detoxifying yourself of negative energy.

Sounds like a regular bath? It’s not!

There is a BIG difference between your every-day run-of-the-mill bath and a Spiritual bath. First of all, just by making it a spiritual experience, you’re sending a message to the Universe and to your Higher-self that you’re ready to detox your energy and cleanse your aura. As you step in the bath, you’re stepping into a safe space, created by you.

Secondly, to keep the bath as pure as possible, I would advise against any chemical products such as shampoo, conditioners, shower gels or bubble baths etc. Instead, add bath salts and home/natural ingredients. A saltwater soak is so powerful for cleansing your energy and your body:

  • A saltwater soak relaxes and eases any joint or muscle pain
  • The salt draws toxins and heavy metal from your skin tissue
  • Saltwater increases circulation

How to create a Spiritual Bath:

  1. De-clutter the space and clean the bath tub before you do anything else. You want the energy of the tub pure and fresh.
  2. Fill the tub with water (at your desired temperature) bringing with you any candles that you will appreciate
  3. Add at least two good handfuls of bath salts (but no more than four). I use WestLabs Cleansing Himalayan Salt.
  4. If you would like to add any essential oils, please check it’s okay to add to water/skin, and I would still recommend adding a little bit of coconut oil so that it’s easier on your skin.
  5. Whilst soaking in the bath, gather your thoughts, think positive, say affirmations or you could set some intentions for yourself. Maybe try a little gratitude practice too? Or maybe just use this time to turn into your spirit guide/God/angels etc.

WARNING: When adding salt to bath, do not use table salt as it has been refined and therefore won’t have the essential minerals you need.

This type of bath will not only allow your body to rid itself of toxins, but it’s a sure way to clear yourself of negative energy. Don’t do these too often, max one a week, but at least once a month.

Spiritual Bath Tea for a Beauty Cleanse

Ground oats have the power to gently unclog pores while their natural saponins cleanse and absorb dirt and oil. Draw a bath and add in ground outs. Then massage the oats into your skin to rid it of dirt and negative energy. Bring your aquamarine or jade.

The Full Moon Spiritual Bath Ritual

If you want to make an evening of it and create an entire ritual around your energy cleanse, then check out this post: A Full Moon Bath Ritual for Letting Go.

The All-Natural Saltwater Soak

Want to take your saltwater soak one step further? Try going for a swim in the ocean to really soak up natural salts. I’ll admit it will be a hell of a lot colder than the safe warm bath, but no doubt a lot more refreshing.

What do you think? Which Spiritual bath will you be trying first?
