How to Schedule 500 Pinterest Pins in One Hour
So, when I tell people I schedule 500 Pinterest pins every month, and I do it in one hour, their first reaction is usually, “How the hell?!”
Here’s the secret: I use the scheduling tool Tailwind, which I’ve set to schedule 17 pins per day (purely because I like the number 17) totalling around 510 pins each month.
But don’t worry, I’m not sitting at my computer designing 510 pins on Canva every month! That is a full-time job in itself…

Here is exactly what I do:
- I start by picking 5-7 key links for the month: Whether it’s blog posts, sales pages, or even a YouTube video or Podcast episode I want to promote; I focus on the content that matters most, and specifically what I want to have ranking highly in 3 – 6 moths time (always work 3 months ahead when it comes to Pinterest).
- I create 75-150 pins: I use my Canva templates to batch-create my designs, so I’m not starting from scratch every time. It keeps things quick yet creative.
- I bulk upload everything to Tailwind: Once the pins are ready, I bulk upload them, usually in slots of 20, and add my titles, descriptions, and keywords. To save time doing this, I use my own content library – a G-sheet that stores every piece of info I need about all my links, that I can easily copy and paste from so I’m not having to come up with creative titles and descriptions whilst I upload.
- I maximise reach by pinning to multiple boards: I share each pin to at least 3 boards, which turns my 75 – 150 pins into anything from 225 – 450 pins, instantly. Easy win!
- I mix in repins from other popular accounts: To keep my content fresh and varied, I repin hundreds of posts from other popular accounts in my niche. It helps show Pinterest that I’m active and engaged. When you know how to use Tailwind for Pinterest, this process takes literally minutes and yet it helps show Pinterest that I’m active and engaged.
This is the exact process I use to schedule 500+ pins across the month – it’s straightforward, effective, and lets me focus on enjoying my life and serving my clients whilst Pinterest does the heavy lifting!

How to Use Tailwind for Pinterest to Schedule 500 Pins
So, let’s get into the nitty-gritty. How are you actually going to schedule and multiply these Pinterest pins into 500 pins? And how are you going to get it done in just one hour?
Get set up with the Tailwind Original Publisher
I put down a huge part of my Pinterest success to being able to use the original publisher.
This ‘Original Publisher’ was a feature that was unfortunately removed back in 2023, however, it can be added to your dashboard upon special request. You will need to contact Tailwind support to request ‘Original Publisher’ installation:
- Start by either emailing Tailwind support at [email protected] or using their messaging bot through their website.
- In your request, ask them to enable the ‘Original Publisher’ feature on your Tailwind account.
- Tailwind support will respond, usually in 24-48 business hours, to confirm the feature has been added to your account.
- Once it has been installed, you will see a section called ‘Publisher’ appear on the left-hand side menu, above ‘insights’.

How to Use Tailwind to Bulk Schedule Pins in 5 Steps [Using the Original Publisher]
Here’s my step-by-step guide to help you bulk schedule pins on Pinterest using Tailwind’s ‘Original Publisher’ feature. This method will save you time and streamline your pinning process.
Step 1: Install the Tailwind Browser Extension
- Download the Extension: If you haven’t already, install the Tailwind browser extension. This is essential for easily scheduling pins from websites or your Pinterest boards.
- Check Compatibility: The extension works best with Chrome, Firefox, or Safari, so ensure you are using one of these browsers.
- Log In: After installation, log in to your Tailwind account through the extension to get started.
Step 2: Access the Original Publisher Tool
- Navigate to Tailwind: Open your Tailwind dashboard and look for the Original Publisher feature, now enabled on your account.
- Open the Tool: Click on the Original Publisher tool. This will allow you to pull up a bulk scheduling interface.
Step 3: Schedule Pins on Tailwind
- Gather Your Pins: Make sure your pins are organised and ready to go. I like to save them in folders on my desktop, sorted by the links I’m promoting. For example, if I have 20 pins for this very blog post, I’ll place them in a folder called ‘Tailwind for Pinterest Blog Post’ and upload them all in one go. This makes it much easier to bulk-upload them and copy and paste all the info from my content library.
- Upload to Tailwind: In your Tailwind ‘Original Publisher’ dashboard, click the “Create New Pin” button, then “Upload”. Then, select your custom-designed pins and upload directly to Tailwind.
- Add Descriptions & Links: Enter a keyword-rich title and description for each pin, along with the destination URL.
- Assign Boards: Select the boards where you want your pin to be posted. IMPORTANT: Start with the main board where you want your pin to primarily “live”—this should always be one of your own boards. Then, add any additional boards, especially group boards, where you want the pin to appear. This strategy helps extend the life of your pin and increases its visibility by reaching broader audiences through shared boards.
- Set Intervals: If you’re pinning to multiple boards, use the interval tool to stagger the pins across different boards efficiently, this allows you to spread out your pins over several days or weeks. Choose the interval time between each pin being posted to a different board. I recommend a few days between each pin, making sure its being pinned to your board first.
- Schedule the Pins: Once your pins are designed, with keywords added and assigned to boards, click ‘Schedule’ and use Tailwind’s scheduling feature to queue them for posting.

Step 4: Use Tailwind to Repin Other Pins
- Choose Pins from Pinterest: Use the Tailwind browser extension to find and select pins. Start by visiting Pinterest and searching for topics related to your niche. Once the search results have loaded, click on the Tailwind extension. Or, go to one of the accounts followed from your ‘Top Accounts’ followed list and click the Tailwind extension.
- Select in Bulk: The Tailwind extension will highlight all the pinnable images on the page. You can either click on the specific pins you want to schedule or select all of them at once.
- Add to Tailwind Queue: After selecting your pins, click the Tailwind button to add them to your scheduling queue. A pop-up window will appear where you can assign each pin to your relevant boards. Add them to your boards NOT group boards. There is also an option to add all the selected pins to the same board simultaneously.
Step 5: Repeat the Process Regularly
- Stay Consistent: Consistency is key to growing your Pinterest presence, so ensure that you’re regularly adding fresh pins to your Tailwind queue.
- Regular Scheduling: Make it a habit to schedule your pins in bulk using this method regularly. Depending on your own schedule, you might do this weekly or monthly.
Tip: When repinning, it’s helpful to search for pins based on the specific board you want to add them to. This way, you can select the relevant pins and in the pop-up, assign them all to that board in one go, rather than manually selecting different boards for each pin.
And there you have it—how to use Tailwind for Pinterest to schedule 500 pins in just one hour! By preparing your pins in advance, utilising the Original Publisher tool, and adding strategic repins with the chrome extention, you’ll keep your Pinterest content fresh, consistent, and effective.
Pinterest is all about working smarter, not harder. With Tailwind, you can focus on the things you love while your pins do the heavy lifting. Happy pinning!
